AFTER

LACUNA METHOD £40 – Fungal Nail Treatment

This treatment creates micro holes in the nail so antifungal spray can reach the infection underneath: This stops the infection spreading and allows the damaged nail to grow out.

  1. Nail reduction & debridement
    • Following assessment, the nails are carefully thinned to reduce the infected nail.
    • Firstly removing loose, crumbly, and fungal-infected nail material.
  2. Creating access channels (lacunae)
    • Small micro holes are opened up within the nail plate.
    • This allows treatment to reach the fungus beneath and within the nail, where it actually lives.
  3. Antifungal application
    • Subsequently, a professional-strength antifungal solution is applied directly into these micro holes to target the infection.
    • Much more effective than surface-only treatments.
  4. Ongoing clearing as the nail grows
    • Healthy nail grows upwards while infected material is gradually eliminated.
    • Ongoing follow-up visits help maintain nail clarity and help the overall effectiveness of the treatment.

CRYOTHERAPY £80 – Verruca Treatment

Cryotherapy CryoIQ Case
Cryo IQ pen
Cryotherapy for foot care treatment

Using Liquid Nitrous Oxide (N₂O) the CryoIQ is a Portable Cryotherapy Device that treats Verruca’s by freezing them.

How it Works

  • Mechanism: The device emits a high-pressure jet of Liquid Nitrous Oxide (N₂O) at approximately -89°C directly onto the Verruca.
  • Procedure: Each application typically lasts from 5 to 30 seconds, during which most patients feel a brief stinging or “pinching” sensation.
  • Cell Destruction: This rapidly lowers the temperature of the targeted tissue and forms ice crystals inside the cells.
  • Millimetre Precision: As a result, the abnormal cells are destroyed, enabling the body to naturally shed and replace the treated tissue.
  • Immune Activation: Freezing also triggers an immune response, helping the body to recognize and fight the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) that causes Verrucae.
  • Healing: Typically takes 1–3 weeks.
  • Recovery: Initially, a small blister or scab may develop within 24–48 hours; over the next 1 to 2 weeks, the wart generally falls off on its own.
  • Changes: Some mild redness or temporary pigmentation changes may occur.
  • Sessions: While many Verrucae clear in one session, stubborn verrucae may require 2 to 4 treatments spaced several weeks apart.
